HiWox — Senior UI/UX Designer
Position: Senior UI/UX Designer
Engagement: Equity-Based Founding Team Role
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Commitment: 20–25 hours per week
About HiWox
HiWox is building a personalised Wellness Intelligence Platform and Healthcare Operating System (HOS) designed to transform how individuals collect, understand, and act on their health and wellness data.
The platform integrates data across nine dimensions of wellness, using evidence-based algorithms and intelligent data analysis to generate personalised recommendations, rituals, programs, reminders, and actionable insights.
We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who can take ownership of the user experience across HiWox's digital ecosystem and translate complex healthcare data, workflows, and intelligence into simple, intuitive, and engaging product experiences.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Product Design & User Experience
- Lead end-to-end UI/UX design for the HiWox mobile application, web platform, dashboards, and other digital interfaces.
- Translate product requirements into user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Design intuitive experiences for user onboarding, health assessments, data collection, wellness tracking, personalised recommendations, and progress monitoring.
- Simplify complex healthcare and wellness workflows into accessible, user-friendly experiences.
- Health Data Visualisation & Dashboard Design
- Design dashboards that present health and lifestyle data across all nine dimensions of wellness.
- Develop intuitive visualisations for health metrics, trends, assessments, progress indicators, and personalised insights.
- Create interfaces that help users understand relationships between different health parameters and their wellness goals.
- Ensure data-heavy interfaces remain clear, meaningful, and actionable without overwhelming users.
- Design System & Visual Identity
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system covering typography, colour palettes, components, layouts, and interaction patterns.
- Establish consistent visual experiences across mobile applications, web platforms, dashboards, and other digital touchpoints.
- Build reusable UI components and design guidelines to support efficient product development.
- Ensure HiWox's visual identity communicates trust, credibility, scientific thinking, simplicity, and technological innovation.
- User Research & Usability Testing
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability testing to understand user expectations and behaviour.
- Gather feedback from users, healthcare professionals, wellness consultants, and internal product teams.
- Identify usability challenges and improve navigation, accessibility, engagement, and overall product experience.
- Validate designs through prototypes, pilot testing, and continuous design iterations.
- Product & Technology Collaboration
- Work closely with product owners, developers, data scientists, healthcare experts, and business teams to translate requirements into practical design solutions.
- Design user experiences for integrations involving smartphones, wearables, health rings, sensors, and third-party healthcare devices.
- Prepare design specifications, interactive prototypes, component libraries, and developer handoff documentation.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and consistent design quality.
- Wellness Ecosystem & Engagement Design
- Design interfaces for personalised wellness recommendations, rituals, reminders, programs, and habit-tracking workflows.
- Create user journeys for consultant interactions, assessments, follow-ups, and the HiWox Captain-assisted onboarding and coordination model.
- Develop engaging progress-tracking experiences that encourage consistent participation and long-term user retention.
- Ensure that user-facing recommendations and health insights are presented clearly, with appropriate context and explanations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Delivery of complete UI/UX designs for planned product features and releases.
- Development and maintenance of a scalable design system and reusable component library.
- Effective visualisation of health data across all nine wellness dimensions.
- Improvement in onboarding completion, feature adoption, and user engagement.
- Reduction in usability issues through research, testing, and design iterations.
- Timely delivery of prototypes, design specifications, and developer handoffs.
- Consistency and quality across mobile, web, and dashboard experiences.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Strong experience in UI/UX and digital product design, particularly mobile applications and web platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and familiarity with prototyping, wireframing, and design collaboration tools.
- Understanding of user research, information architecture, design systems, responsive design, and usability principles.
- Ability to design complex workflows, data-heavy dashboards, and analytical interfaces.
- Strong visual design, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in HealthTech, healthcare platforms, digital health, wearables, wellness technology, or data-driven applications will be an advantage.
Equity-Based Engagement Terms
- This is an equity-based founding team opportunity, not a salaried position at the current stage.
- The selected candidate will work closely with the founder and product development team, taking ownership of UI/UX design across the HiWox digital ecosystem.
- Expected commitment: 20–25 hours per week.
- Equity participation will be discussed based on experience, contribution, responsibilities, and long-term commitment.
- A proposed five-year vesting structure will apply, subject to the final founding team agreement.
- Fixed compensation may be considered after funding and revenue stabilisation. This could take 6–8 months or potentially a year; there is no guaranteed timeline.
What We Expect
We are looking for a product-minded designer who can go beyond creating visually attractive screens. The ideal candidate should be able to understand healthcare workflows, simplify complex health data, and design experiences that make wellness intelligence understandable and actionable for everyday users.
The candidate must be comfortable working in an early-stage startup, taking independent design ownership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and translating a complex HealthTech vision into a scalable digital product.
