Position Summary:

To help drive this next chapter, we're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a senior technical contributor within our Customer Acquisition Engineering organization. This role shapes full-stack architecture and delivers modern web applications that support customer acquisition and digital growth.

The ideal candidate combines deep full-stack engineering expertise, strong technical leadership, and a passion for building modern customer-facing experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical direction for full-stack application architecture and engineering standards.
• Lead complex design decisions and mentor software engineers.
• Promote reusable components, secure coding, and scalable application patterns.

Technology & Delivery:

• Design, develop, and support applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Partner with Product and UX teams to deliver customer acquisition experiences.
• Improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness.
• Support automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.

Innovation & Modernization:

• Evaluate emerging web technologies and architecture patterns.
• Advance platform modernization and developer productivity.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys through technology

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• 8–10 years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Digital commerce or e-commerce experience — cart, checkout, catalog, pricing, or payments.
• Extensive experience building and operating customer-facing web applications in production.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, and full-stack architecture.
• Demonstrated experience as technical lead for a scrum team, including mentoring engineers and leading complex technical initiatives.
• Experience integrating customer-facing applications with enterprise and third-party APIs.

Required Technical Skills:

• React

• RESTful API integration and system integration design

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Cloud-native application architecture on AWS; containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• Scaled Agile delivery (SAFe), including PI planning and cross-team dependency management.
• Automated testing frameworks, and performance engineering.
• Experience in a PCI-scoped or comparable regulated environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering or equivalent
