About The Company

A fast-growing fintech product company in Chennai that builds a digital lending platform used in production by banks, NBFCs and fintechs, covering loan origination, loan management and credit decisioning.

About The Role

As a Java Developer, you will build and scale the backend services that power the lending platform. You will own features from design to release and work closely with product, QA and the founding team in a fast-moving environment with high ownership.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for loan origination, loan management and credit workflows
  • Write clean, testable and well-documented code, with unit tests
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, with attention to performance, reliability and data integrity
  • Take part in design discussions and code reviews, and contribute to technical decisions for new modules
  • Collaborate with product, QA and implementation teams to deliver features for financial institution clients

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of hands-on backend development experience in Java
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices architecture
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and SQL
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices and debugging in production environments
  • Experience in a product company is preferred

Good to have

  • Experience in BFSI, lending, payments or core banking systems
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker or messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
