About the Role

Talemexa Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Scientist to apply statistical methods, machine learning, and experimentation to improve hiring outcomes and workforce planning. The successful candidate will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that help business leaders make informed, evidence-based decisions.

In this role, you will develop and validate predictive models, measure the impact of business initiatives, identify useful data sources, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy machine learning solutions into production. You will also communicate technical findings in a clear and practical manner so that non-technical stakeholders can understand the results and use them to guide business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, train, evaluate, and validate predictive models to support hiring, workforce planning, and related business objectives.
  • Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within complex datasets.
  • Design experiments, establish appropriate evaluation methods, and measure the impact of business initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce and recruitment-related data to identify factors influencing hiring outcomes and operational performance.
  • Use Python or R, along with SQL, to collect, process, analyze, and interpret structured data.
  • Apply machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn to build and evaluate analytical solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and other technical teams to integrate models into production environments.
  • Monitor model performance and recommend improvements based on changing data patterns and business requirements.
  • Present analytical findings, model results, and recommendations to non-technical leaders in a clear and understandable format.
  • Explore new data sources, analytical approaches, and machine learning methods to improve the quality of insights.
  • Maintain clear documentation of experiments, model assumptions, methodologies, and results.
  • Follow appropriate practices for data quality, reproducibility, and responsible data use.Qualifications and Experience
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in data science, statistical analysis, or machine learning.
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and model development.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, joining, and analyzing datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with scikit-learn or comparable machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience developing and validating predictive models using appropriate performance metrics.
  • Ability to interpret complex analytical results and translate them into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to deploy or operationalize analytical models.
  • A master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.Required Skills and Competencies
