Role Description The Senior Python Developer – Backend Application Development role is a full-time, on-site position based in Salem. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power Mintocred’s digital lending marketplace. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient Python code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating and optimizing databases, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. The developer will collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to build features, improve existing functionality, and support integrations with third-party lending partners. Additional responsibilities include code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, contributing to architectural decisions, and mentoring other developers.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Python, with solid experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts.
  • Proven experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable server-side applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.
  • Background in Software Development best practices, such as version control (Git), testing, debugging, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and cloud platforms or containerization (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
  • Understanding of security, performance optimization, and reliability in production-grade backend systems.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and mentor junior developers.
  • Experience in fintech, lending platforms, or marketplaces is a plus.
  • 5-8 Years of Experience as Full stack developer with good proficiency in Python backend application development
