You'll be a good fit if you have

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Experience building frontend applications with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication, permissions, validation and frontend-backend integration.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis and Celery in production.
  • Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS, and working with Docker, CI/CD, Git and code reviews.
  • Strong debugging skills and a practical understanding of application performance, security and reliability.
  • The ability to own features independently, communicate trade-offs and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience writing backend and frontend tests as part of regular development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver and maintain product features across the frontend and backend.
  • Build scalable, secure backend services and REST APIs using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Create responsive frontend experiences using React.js, reusable components and libraries such as Material UI.
  • Design relational data models, manage migrations and optimize PostgreSQL queries.
  • Build asynchronous workflows with Celery and Redis, including retries and failure handling.
  • Integrate third-party services and apply appropriate validation and error handling.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements, identify edge cases and estimate work.
  • Write automated tests, review code, improve engineering standards and address technical debt.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, reliability, security and observability.
  • Deploy and support applications on AWS using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
