Java Web Developer – ERP Systems & Custom Integration (Full-Stack Java / JSP / SQL)

We are looking for a skilled Java Web Developer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom reports, building RESTful API integrations, and enhancing specialized modules for our enterprise Web ERP system.

While experience with specific ERP frameworks (such as Datatex NOW) is a bonus, it is not required. We are primarily seeking a solid Java/JSP developer who understands database architecture, Web APIs, and backend logic. We will provide full training and orientation on our ERP platform's custom development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Report Development: Design, build, and optimize custom business reports and data extractors using SQL queries, JSP templates, and ERP reporting utilities.
  • API Development & Integration: Build and maintain RESTful APIs/web services to integrate our ERP system with external software platforms, e-commerce platforms, and third-party tools.
  • Module Enhancement: Develop custom modules, user interface extensions, and workflow automations to align ERP functions with business requirements.
  • Database Optimization: Write complex, performant SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract data across large relational databases.
  • System Support & Troubleshooting: Debug custom code, optimize query execution times, and resolve technical issues within the custom application layer.

Technical Skill Requirements

Core Required Skills

  • Java & JSP/Servlets: Solid foundation in Java EE/Jakarta EE, JavaServer Pages (JSP), and Servlets.
  • Database & SQL: Strong proficiency in relational databases (Oracle DB or Microsoft SQL Server) — ability to write complex joins, subqueries, and views.
  • Web Services / APIs: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and Web Services (JSON/XML).
  • Frontend Basics: Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX for backend-driven web UI development.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with reporting tools (such as JasperReports, Crystal Reports, or ERP-native report builders).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, or ERP workflows.
  • Familiarity with web servers (Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, or similar Java application servers).
