Role SummaryYes Madam is looking for an agile, hands-on Manager – Research & New Product Development (R&D / NPD) to lead the end-to-end formulation research, lab bench testing, and nationwide service deployment of premium at-home salon treatments. This role bridges international skincare innovations (specifically K-Beauty layered hydration and J-Beauty precision techniques) with cosmetic chemistry, rigorous stability/efficacy testing, and scalable field execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • R&D Formulation & Bench Testing: Direct cosmetic research and evaluate bench samples, pilot batches, and raw materials alongside internal labs and external third-party manufacturers. Assess formula stability, pH levels, active delivery, texture/slip, fragrance longevity, and patch/irritation safety under in-home usage conditions.
  • Global Trend Intelligence & Adaptation: Track international clinical advances, DTC trends, and salon breakthroughs across South Korea, Japan, and Western markets. Adapt emergent ingredients (actives, barrier-repair lipids, peptides, botanical ferments) for Indian skin profiles.
  • Treatment Architecture & SOPs: Engineer end-to-end service protocols for specialized facials, cleanups, manicures, and pedicures. Draft clinical SOPs, active ingredient dosage charts, contraindication matrices, and pre/post-care regimens.
  • Sensory & Blinded Efficacy Trials: Design structured sensory mapping and efficacy trials across diverse skin types to benchmark product performance, ease of removal, and skin tolerance against market leaders.
  • Beautician Training & Video Enablement: Conduct hands-on masterclasses and evaluate technician fidelity on signature massage techniques and aesthetic tools (LED, ultrasonic, cryo globes). Direct and film step-by-step digital training modules and quick-reference cards.
  • Cross-Functional Commercialization: Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Regulatory QA, and Supply Chain to seamlessly pilot, scale, and iterate on treatments based on field quality metrics and customer feedback.Core Competencies
  • Cosmetic Science & Formulation: Deep understanding of cosmetic chemistry, ingredient compatibility (AHAs/BHAs, Retinol, Vitamin C, Peptides, Niacinamide), stability/preservative testing, and raw material sourcing.
  • Skincare & Facial Therapy: Multi-step K-Beauty glass-skin hydration, J-Beauty lymphatic drainage/facial contouring, and advanced peel/exfoliation handling.
  • Hand, Foot & Tool Care: Manicure/pedicure formulations (masks, chemical peels, cuticles, body butters), medical-grade sanitation, and modern handheld salon tools.
  • Documentation & Training: SOP authoring, clinical safety frameworks, on-camera technical demonstration, and field-force upskilling.Candidate Profile & Qualifications
  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Cosmetic Technology, Formulation Science, Cosmetology, Beauty Therapy (CIDESCO / CIBTAC or equivalent), or related aesthetic/dermatological disciplines.
  • Experience: 4–7+ years of hands-on experience spanning skincare formulation/testing, salon service development, and beautician training.
  • Skills: Strong bilingual communication (English & Hindi) with the ability to translate scientific concepts into simple operational workflows.
