Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain applications and core platform components for our utility-focused SaaS products. You will work across our technology stack—Next.js on the front end, NestJS on the back end, and MySQL for the database—to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software. Responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code; building responsive user interfaces and robust APIs; designing and optimizing databases; and participating in architecture discussions and code reviews. You will collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to refine requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver high-quality features on schedule. As a senior team member, you will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering practices and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madurai.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.
Hands-on experience with Next.js and React, including component design, rendering strategies, state management, and front-end performance optimization.
Strong experience with NestJS and Node.js, including modular architecture, dependency injection, API development, authentication, and authorization.
Proficiency in MySQL, including relational database design, SQL queries, indexing, schema migrations, and query optimization.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and working with third-party services or SaaS platforms.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and practices for building modular, maintainable software.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring and observability tools.
Ability to troubleshoot issues across the application stack and improve performance, security, and reliability.
Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to working with product, QA, and operations teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
