Job Description
Role
We are looking for a Data QA Engineer to validate insurance data across source systems, ETL pipelines, and reporting layers. The candidate should be able to work independently, investigate data issues, and confirm that business metrics and reports are accurate.
Must-have skills
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and data reconciliation.
- Python skills for data validation, automation, and analysis.
- Strong data QA experience across data pipelines and warehouses.
- Insurance domain knowledge, including policy and claims data.
- Ability to analyze raw data and derive or validate KPIs and business insights.
- Experience with data mapping, source-to-target validation, defect investigation, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with business and technical teams.Preferred skills
- Duck Creek experience.
- Experience with Guidewire.
- Enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Cloud data platforms or services in Azure or AWS.
- Experience applying AI to data validation or QA processes.
