Software Engineer

SafarTrak builds IoT and telematics solutions for fleet operations, vehicle tracking and temperature monitoring. We are hiring a Software Engineer for a full-time remote role in India.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable web applications, backend services and APIs for fleet management workflows.
• Work on live vehicle data, dashboards, alerts, reporting and integrations.
• Write readable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Investigate bugs and improve application performance and reliability.
• Follow secure development practices and document technical changes.
• Collaborate with product, QA and operations to deliver features through testing and release.

Requirements

• Hands-on software development experience and strong programming fundamentals.
• Understanding of web applications, REST APIs and databases.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging and automated testing.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and work independently in a remote team.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Node.js is useful.
• Exposure to cloud services, IoT, telemetry or real-time data systems is helpful.
