About the Role

We are looking for an engineering-first Product Lead to own Fast Checkout's development and user experience, working closely with engineering, design, and business teams.

The ideal candidate combines software engineering experience with strong fintech domain knowledge, an understanding of market dynamics and user behaviour, and proven product execution skills.

You will manage the complete product lifecycle and progressively lead the development of new products, with a growth path toward Head of Product.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership: Manage product roadmaps, requirements, priorities, and feature development.
• Engineering Collaboration: Work with developers on technical feasibility, APIs, integrations, and implementation.
• UI/UX: Drive user journeys, wireframes, usability improvements, and intuitive product experiences.
• Execution: Manage development timelines, sprints, dependencies, releases, and delivery milestones.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Align engineering, design, sales, and operations teams.
• Product Optimisation: Use customer feedback, user behaviour, and product metrics to improve checkout conversion and payment success.
• Fintech & Market Insights: Understand fintech trends, competitive offerings, merchant needs, and evolving payment behaviours.
• New Product Development: Identify market opportunities and lead the development and launch of new products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of software engineering/development experience and 1–2 years in Product Management/Product Ownership.
• At least 2–3 years of experience working in the fintech industry, preferably in payments, payment gateways, payment orchestration, or checkout products.
• Strong understanding of the fintech ecosystem, market trends, merchant needs, and user behaviour.
• Knowledge of payment flows, APIs, integrations, and technical architecture.
• Proven experience managing product development timelines and cross-functional delivery.
• Strong interest in UI/UX, product design, and customer experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
