Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Developer with 6–8 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise-grade API solutions using WSO2 API Management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, API-first environment and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and modern integration ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager (v4+ or later).
  • Lead API lifecycle activities: design, prototype, publish, monitor, and retire APIs.
  • Configure and manage WSO2 API Gateway, Publisher, and Developer Portal.
  • Implement API security policies including OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and CORS.
  • Automate API deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Monitor API performance using tools like AppDynamics & Splunk.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across distributed environments.
  • Work on API-first integration designs, building secure, scalable APIs using REST/SOAP standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Guide junior developers and lead technical knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Optimize existing integrations for performance, maintainability, and error handling.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Interface with tools like ElasticSearch, Splunk for monitoring and logging integration behavior.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in integration and API Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) with WSO2 API Manager and relate components.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design.
  • Familiarity with API documentation tools like Stoplight.
  • Solid understanding of API security, traffic management, and analytics.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, JFrog.Preferred Qualifications
  • WSO2 certification (Developer or Integration Specialist) is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).Soft Skills
