About the roleSkybook Digital is looking for creative, technically strong Web Developers who can build visually impressive, fast and user-friendly client websites.
You should have solid WordPress development skills, an eye for modern design, and practical experience using AI tools to improve your development workflow. We value developers who can turn a client brief into a polished website and take ownership of its quality from concept to launch.
What you’ll do
- Develop and customise WordPress websites using Elementor, the block editor, themes, plugins and custom code where appropriate.
- Translate client requirements and brand guidelines into attractive layouts with clear navigation, strong mobile experiences and effective enquiry flows.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development, explore design ideas, troubleshoot issues and improve code quality.
- Review, understand and test AI-generated code before using it in client projects.
- Build responsive pages with thoughtful typography, spacing, imagery and interactions.
- Optimise websites for loading speed, SEO fundamentals, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
- Integrate forms, CRM systems, analytics, payment gateways and third-party APIs as required.
- Troubleshoot website issues and handle staging, migrations, hosting configurations and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with our design, content, SEO and marketing teams to deliver websites that support client business goals.What we’re looking for
- 2–4 years of hands-on web development experience, with a strong portfolio of live WordPress websites.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, with working knowledge of MySQL.
- Practical experience with WordPress theme customisation, plugin development or custom functionality.
- Proficiency in Elementor or comparable WordPress building tools, supported by the ability to write custom code.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or GitHub Copilot, with clear examples of how they improved your work.
- A good eye for visual design and the ability to create polished websites beyond standard template layouts.
- Understanding of responsive design, website performance, technical SEO and basic web security.
- Familiarity with Git, staging environments, backups and reliable deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client projects.Good to have
- Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
- Experience building Arabic and bilingual websites, including right-to-left layouts.
- Ability to work from Figma designs.
- Exposure to React, Next.js or similar modern frameworks.
- Experience connecting websites with CRM systems, WhatsApp tools and workflow automation platforms.What matters most to usStrong fundamentals, design judgement and ownership of the final result. You should be able to explain your code, solve problems independently and use AI thoughtfully to produce better work. Protecting client data and checking generated code, assets and content are part of the role.
