Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems
• Develop APIs and services with a focus on performance and fault tolerance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and infrastructure
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions
• Drive best practices in coding, testing, and system design

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C++, or Python)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Experience building distributed systems and REST/gRPC services
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-QPS systems and performance optimization
• Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Exposure to microservices architecture and observability tools
• Prior experience mentoring engineers
