Platform Engineer

We’re Hiring: Founding Engineer – Platform | 4–8 Years of Experience

Location: Remote for the first 5 months, followed by Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a hands-on Founding Engineer – Platform who can own the product end to end, working across frontend, backend, APIs, and database architecture.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building from the ground up, taking ownership of technical decisions, and working closely with the CTO in a fast-paced, AI-driven startup environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and own customer-facing applications using Next.js and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexes.
• Build product workflows for document viewing, markup, review, correction, and data exports.
• Work on multi-tenant architecture, database-level isolation, and access control.
• Own deployments, feature flags, monitoring, and production performance.
• Collaborate directly with the CTO to shape the product roadmap and engineering standards. What We’re Looking For:
• 3-5 years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Next.js in production.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with FastAPI or the ability to ramp up quickly.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including query optimization and indexing.
• Exposure to multi-tenant systems, RBAC, or row-level security.
• Experience working in a Series A or Series B startup for at least one year.
• Graduation completed in 2022 or earlier. Good to Have:
• Canvas or SVG rendering at scale.
• Experience with queue systems.
• Exposure to Azure or GCP.
