We are a fast-growing financial technology innovator building high-performance, secure, and scalable payment infrastructure. We process high-volume financial transactions and power seamless payment experiences for modern enterprises.

As we scale our core transaction processing engines and expand our product ecosystem, we are looking for high-caliber Backend Engineers with hands-on expertise in Java and Node.js and a strong background in payment gateways, transaction routing, and ledger systems.

About The Role

We are seeking an execution-focused, analytical Backend Developer who thrives in a high-stakes, low-latency financial tech environment. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain resilient microservices responsible for handling payment processing, transaction orchestration, reconciliation, and secure API integrations.

You will work closely with product managers, security experts, and senior architects to ensure 99.99% uptime, strict compliance, and optimal throughput for mission-critical payment workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Core Backend Development: Design, develop, and scale high-performance microservices and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js (Express / NestJS).
Payment Transactions & Routing: Build and optimize payment gateway integrations, payment orchestration engines, checkout workflows, and transaction state machines.
Reliability & Concurrency: Ensure low-latency processing, fault tolerance, and high availability for high-volume financial transactions and webhook management.
Security & Compliance: Implement robust security best practices, data encryption, tokenization, and adhere to PCI-DSS standards and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Database & Caching Design: Design efficient relational/NoSQL schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB) for ledger management, transaction logs, and rapid state retrieval.
Testing & Observability: Write robust unit/integration tests and set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to catch bottlenecks early.

Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Professional Experience: 2 to 5 years of backend software engineering experience building scalable, production-grade distributed systems.
Tech Stack Mastery: Strong, hands-on coding proficiency in both Java (Spring Boot / Spring Cloud) and Node.js (JavaScript / TypeScript).
Fintech / Payments Domain Experience: Proven working knowledge of payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, etc.), payment aggregators, UPI, card networks, or core banking/ledger systems.
System Design Acumen: Solid understanding of asynchronous processing, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), RESTful APIs, gRPC, and microservices architecture.
Database & Concurrency: Experience handling database transactions, ACID compliance, connection pooling, and distributed locking in high-concurrency environments.
Location: Based in or willing to work from Bangalore.
