WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the engineering team, driving project execution and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Own the technology stack, making decisions on architecture and design processes.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering lead and founder to align on strategic goals.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Develop and implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and facilitate clear communication.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and scalability to support rapid growth.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Between 7-10 years of total work experience, particularly in product development.
• Prior involvement as a member of a founding or early engineering team in a startup environment is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience coding in Python is mandatory.
• Proficiency with web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask is expected.
• A deep understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB is necessary.
• Experience working with message queues and streaming technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Celery is required.
• Solid knowledge in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments, is crucial.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AI and machine learning systems or APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools would be beneficial.
• Exposure to modern microservices architecture can enhance your application.
