Technical Lead

About the Role

We are hiring a Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for a mission-critical product portfolio spanning modern web applications, microservices, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise-scale distributed systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will drive architecture decisions, work directly with customers and stakeholders, mentor engineers, and own delivery from design through production. You will be the technical anchor for the team, spotting risks early, proposing solutions, and challenging assumptions when needed.

What You Will Do

  • Own end-to-end architecture across frontend, backend, databases, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps
  • Lead architecture and design reviews, and define scalable, secure, maintainable solutions
  • Drive modernization and technical debt reduction
  • Establish engineering standards, metrics, and delivery accountability
  • Work directly with product owners, architects, and customers to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Challenge requirements constructively and recommend alternative approaches
  • Lead code reviews and ensure quality through testing, automation, and observability
  • Own delivery commitments, sprint discipline, release readiness, and operational excellence
  • Mentor engineers across frontend, backend, cloud, and DevOps, and help resolve technical disagreements

What You Bring

Experience

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years leading complex enterprise applications
  • Proven record of leading architecture and delivery for customer-facing enterprise products
  • Strong track record of delivering cloud-native applications on AWS
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers and technical leadsTechnical Skills
  • Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, advanced React, reusable component libraries, performance, accessibility, testing
  • Backend: C#/.NET Core, Java microservices, REST APIs, Backend-for-Frontend architectures, distributed systems
  • Cloud: AWS, Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform), containerized deployments
  • Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis
  • DevOps and CI/CD: GitHub, Codefresh, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
  • Observability and quality: Dynatrace, ELK Stack, SonarQube, Snyk, CypressLeadership
  • Confident communication with directors, architects, and customers
  • Strong ownership and accountability for outcomes
  • Ability to influence decisions without relying on authority
  • Comfort with ambiguity and balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainabilityNice to Have
  • Experience with SaaS platforms at scale
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with globally distributed teams
  • Education technology or enterprise workflow platform experience
