Backend Developer – Application Engineering

About the Role

RTAC is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to develop and maintain the server-side components of its software products and enterprise applications. The role involves designing application logic, building APIs, managing databases, and ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient backend operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services, application modules, and business logic.
  • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Build and optimize database structures, queries, and data processing operations.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data management.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance.
  • Integrate third-party services and connect backend systems with frontend applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and application enhancements.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and project teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of backend programming using PHP, Java, Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and application architecture.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and client-server communication.
  • Familiarity with Git, debugging, and software development practices.
  • Understanding of database optimization and application security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Freshers with relevant backend projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply
