About The Role

AurelloAI builds AI-powered applications for its clients: data-heavy dashboards, workflow tools, and conversational or agentic interfaces.

We are looking for a senior frontend engineer who builds these interfaces and owns their user experience. This is an engineering role, not a design role. There will be no dedicated designer on the team, so this person makes the UX decisions themselves – strong UX judgment is the deciding factor.

What The Role Involves

  • Turning client requirements into clear user journeys and interaction flows, and then building them
  • Building production-grade, polished frontends in React, TypeScript and Next.js
  • Making AI output usable and trustworthy: showing sources, confidence and progress, and designing review and approval steps
  • Keeping the UI clean and consistent on the basis of a design system or component library
  • Testing with users informally and iterating based on what they observe

Must-haves

  • Senior frontend engineering experience (typically 6+ years), with React, TypeScript and Next.js in production
  • Proven UX ownership: has designed user flows, navigation and interaction patterns themselves, ideally in teams without a dedicated designer, and can explain the reasoning behind these decisions
  • Thinks in complete user journeys, including loading, empty, error and edge-case states – not just the main screens
  • Experience with complex, data-heavy applications such as dashboards and workflows
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and engineers, with strong communication in English

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI-powered or conversational interfaces
  • Background in design, or solid working knowledge of Figma
  • Experience running informal usability tests or working directly with end users
  • Accessibility (WCAG)

Interview process

  • Walkthrough of a product the candidate has built, focused on their UX decisions
  • Short practical exercise: designing and building a small user flow (approx. 3–4 hours)
  • Final conversation with our leadership team
