About the Role

Talemexa is seeking a skilled and experienced React Developer to build, enhance, and maintain modern web applications used by recruiters and candidates. In this role, you will develop reusable user interface components, implement responsive designs, integrate backend services, and optimize application performance using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with React and TypeScript, strong CSS skills, and practical knowledge of state management solutions such as Redux. You should also have experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs, writing automated tests, and collaborating with designers to translate Figma designs into functional, high-quality interfaces.

You will work closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to deliver reliable, accessible, and maintainable web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frontend Development: Build, maintain, and enhance modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Reusable Components: Develop reusable components and custom React hooks to improve code consistency, maintainability, and development efficiency.
  • State Management: Implement and maintain application state using Redux or other suitable state management solutions.
  • API Integration: Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs to retrieve, update, and display application data efficiently.
  • UI Implementation: Convert Figma designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible, and visually consistent user interfaces.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Write and maintain unit and component tests using Jest and React Testing Library to ensure application reliability.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve rendering bottlenecks, optimize component performance, and improve application loading speed.
  • Responsive Design: Ensure applications function smoothly across desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Version Control: Use Git to manage source code, collaborate with team members, and maintain organized development workflows.
  • Bug Fixing: Investigate and resolve frontend defects, browser compatibility issues, and user interface inconsistencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on React ecosystem developments and recommend improvements to frontend architecture and development practices.Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development principles.
  • Hands-on experience building reusable React components and working with hooks.
  • Familiarity with Redux or similar state management libraries.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Practical experience with Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into responsive web interfaces.
  • Understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews, and collaborative software development.
