About the Role

Talemexa is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Developer to build, maintain, and optimize websites and landing pages for Talemexa and its clients. In this role, you will transform design concepts into responsive web pages, implement interactive features using JavaScript, maintain content management systems, and ensure websites deliver a consistent experience across different devices and browsers.

The ideal candidate will have 1–4 years of web development experience, strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and familiarity with content management systems. You should also understand responsive web design, website performance optimization, accessibility principles, and basic search engine optimization (SEO).

You will collaborate with designers, content creators, marketing professionals, and other team members to deliver high-quality websites that meet project requirements and provide an excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development: Build, update, and maintain websites and landing pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant web development technologies.
  • Responsive Design: Convert design mockups and wireframes into responsive web pages that function effectively across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Interactive Features: Develop interactive website elements, navigation components, forms, and other functionality using JavaScript to improve usability and engagement.
  • Content Management Systems: Maintain and update websites using content management systems (CMS), ensuring content accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting.
  • Website Performance: Optimize page loading speed, reduce unnecessary resource usage, and improve overall website performance.
  • Accessibility: Apply accessibility best practices to help ensure websites are usable by people with different abilities and compatible with assistive technologies.
  • Search Engine Optimization: Implement basic on-page SEO practices, including appropriate heading structures, metadata, image optimization, and semantic HTML.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Test websites across commonly used browsers and devices to identify and resolve layout or functionality issues.
  • Bug Fixing and Maintenance: Investigate technical issues, correct website errors, and handle routine updates and small development requests within agreed timelines.
  • Design Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure accurate implementation of layouts, typography, colors, and interactive elements.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code while following established development standards and documenting relevant changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve website usability, functionality, accessibility, and maintainability.Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–4 years of professional web development experience.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Practical experience building responsive websites and landing pages.
  • Familiarity with at least one content management system, such as WordPress or a comparable platform.
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization and website performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of browser developer tools and website debugging techniques.
  • Understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple development tasks.
