Role Description The Senior Data Analyst (10+ Years) will work in a remote, contract capacity, supporting data-driven decision-making across Antern Technologies’ products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources, performing advanced analyses, and building statistical models to support product performance, hiring platforms, and delivery management insights.

The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, and will help define best practices for data governance, quality, and reporting standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Data Analyst:

This is the most critical role on the engagement. The project’s acceptance test is a per-unit product cost that the client’s BU Controller must sign off, and it has to reconcile to the JD Edwards General Ledger. The client has no existing costing system to match against, so this person is defining and proving the numbers, not copying them.

You’ll work alongside a North American Solution Architect who owns the costing method with the client. You’ll do the analysis, build the cost model in Power BI, and lead the reconciliation that proves it.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and take part in costing workshops with the BU Controller, translating material, conversion and applied overhead rules into documented, testable logic.
  • Profile JDE cost, production and GL data to confirm what the source can support. Identify gaps such as yield and scrap held outside the ERP.
  • Build the certified Product Cost semantic model in Power BI (star schema, DAX measures, plant-level row-level security) and the acceptance and reconciliation views.
  • Build cost component detail so any per-unit figure can be traced to its contributing transactions.
  • Lead the reconciliation of per-unit cost to the JDE General Ledger for a closed period. Explain and attribute every variance outside the agreed tolerance.
  • Support UAT with the client’s finance team and present results clearly to non-technical Finance stakeholders.
  • Help the Data Engineer with Silver and Gold SQL during peak build weeks.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in data analysis or BI, with significant time spent on manufacturing cost or finance data.
  • A strong manufacturing cost accounting background: standard and weighted average costing, material, labor and overhead absorption, cost rollups, and yield and scrap effects. A finance or accounting degree or a cost accounting background is highly valued.
  • Proven experience reconciling analytical figures to a general ledger and explaining variances to controllers.
  • Expert Power BI semantic modeling and DAX, and strong SQL.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse, Warehouse or Direct Lake semantic models).
