Python Backend Engineer
Python Backend Engineer
Paribus builds AI software for US personal injury law firms. Our platform reads thousands of pages of medical records and legal documents, extracts what matters, and helps firms build stronger cases faster. We're hiring a Python Backend Engineer in Bengaluru (Kadubeesanahalli, hybrid 2–3 days/week) to own core services on that platform. You'll work directly with the founders and a small engineering team across India and the US, shipping features that real law firms use every day. No legal or medical background needed — we'll teach you the domain.
Interview process:
intro call → take-home assignment (reviewed by our developers) → DSA → system design → final round with the founders and team. You're welcome to use AI tools on the take-home, but we'll ask you to walk us through your code, so make sure you understand every part of it.

- Build document-processing pipelines that turn messy, scanned records into reliable structured data
- Design and maintain internal and third-party APIs that power case workflows, data pipelines and AI features
- Work with the founders to turn user feedback into product decisions and ship them end to end
- Improve reliability, performance and cost of backend systems as usage grows, including deployment on AWS
- Contribute to architecture decisions and code reviews, and help set engineering standards as the team grows
