Water AI Scientist (PhD), Tirupati

Smart Bhujal (Piezoline Technologies Pvt Ltd) builds AI tools for water engineering that run established models for groundwater, urban drainage, water supply networks and irrigation. You will own the water science behind these tools: making sure the models are set up right and the results are sound. As you grow, you will lead client projects.

What you will do

  • Set up, run and calibrate water models (MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, SWMM, EPANET, SWAT and similar) inside our AI tools.
  • Check AI-generated results against engineering judgment and build test cases with known correct answers.
  • Work with our AI team to improve the tools: explain the science and find where results go wrong.
  • Run the tools on client data and write clear technical reports.
  • Present results to clients and answer their technical questions.
  • Contribute technical sections to proposals and papers.
  • Later, plan and manage client projects and guide junior team members.

Who we are looking for

  • PhD in hydrology, water resources, hydrogeology, environmental or agricultural engineering (completed or thesis submitted).
  • Hands-on with at least one water modelling tool or GIS.
  • Python for data analysis or model automation is a plus.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Lives in Tirupati or will relocate.

Pay

  • Rs 8 to 12 lakh per year for a fresh PhD, depending on experience.

Location: Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. On-site.
