Fitboard ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. By using fitboard.in, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Fitboard is an ATS resume scoring tool built for Indian job seekers. We are based in India and this service is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

2. What data we collect

If you use Fitboard without signing in (anonymous use):

• Your resume text — processed in-session for scoring only. It is not stored in our database after your session ends.
• The job description text you paste — same as above, processed and not stored.
• Your score result — temporarily stored in your browser's local storage so you can view it. It is not sent to our servers after the session.

If you create an account:

• Email address — used for sign-in and to contact you about your account.
• Resume text and job description text for each run — stored so we can show you your run history.
• Score results and analysis outputs — stored against your account.

Automatically collected:

• Basic usage analytics — pages visited, time on site. We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
• Error logs — to help us fix bugs. These do not contain your resume content.

3. How we use your data

• To run your ATS score analysis and return results to you.
• To save your run history if you are a signed-in user.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, password reset).
• To improve the product — aggregate, anonymised usage patterns only.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your resume content for training AI models. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. Third-party services we use

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your account data and run history are stored on Supabase infrastructure (servers in Singapore).
• AI analysis APIs — your resume text and job description are sent to AI APIs to generate the score breakdown. This data is used only for inference and is not stored or used for training by these providers under our agreements.
• Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request; no personal data from Fitboard is shared.

5. Data retention

• Anonymous session data: not stored on our servers. Cleared when your browser session ends.
• Account data: retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days.
• Contact form submissions: retained for up to 12 months.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@fitboard.in. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics scripts that drop cookies.

8. Children

Fitboard is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Fitboard after changes constitutes acceptance.
