AI Automation Engineer
About the role You'll own AI products from idea to launch and beyond. You'll find out what users need, decide what to build first, build much of it yourself with AI coding tools, and show it works with real numbers. This is a hands-on role: half product owner, half builder.
What you'll do
- Talk to users and stakeholders. Turn their problems into a clear plan: what to build first, what to leave out, and how we'll know it worked.
- Build and ship AI features with tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot. Examples: an assistant that answers questions from company documents, or an agent that automates a workflow.
- Review AI-written code before it ships: test it, read the changes and check edge cases.
- Decide where a person must check the AI's work, and plan what happens when the AI is wrong.
- Measure results after launch, such as usage, time saved and errors, and improve the product based on them.
- Explain designs and trade-offs to non-technical people, and say "no" or "not yet" when needed. What you need
- [3+] years building software, including at least one AI feature used by real users in production, not only a demo or course project.
- You can explain one product you built from start to finish: who used it, how it works step by step, which parts you built yourself, and what changed for users, with before-and-after numbers.
- Hands-on experience with LLM apps: RAG or agents, prompt design, and checking answer quality with test sets and human review.
- Experience deploying to the cloud, ideally AWS: serverless or containers, access control, and what drives AI costs.
- Care with user data: consent, personal data, and who can see what.
- Clear writing and speaking.Nice to have
- LangGraph or a similar agent framework.
- Amazon Bedrock or another managed model service.
- Tracing and evaluation tools, such as Langfuse or LangSmith.
- Experience writing requirements or running user acceptance testing.
